Sanders is an Assistant Coach at Maroon & Gold Tennis and the current Sun Devil® Men's Tennis Volunteer Coach.
Sanders was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana and attended Metairie Park Country Day School where he was a 3x High School State Champion. Sanders went on to play his collegiate tennis at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee where he was a Team Captain and played at the #1 singles and #1 doubles positions his senior year. At Rhodes College, Sanders was also named First Team All-Conference and was an integral part of guiding the team to a Top #20 National Ranking.
After earning his bachelor's degree in English from Rhodes College, Sanders attended Law School at Tulane University where he received his Juris Doctor degree and Sports Law Certificate.
Sanders began his coaching career at NAIA powerhouse Xavier University of Louisiana and immediately made a positive impact, helping the program to a final national ranking of #9. In his two seasons on staff at XULA, Sanders also coached three student-athletes to ITA All-American status, was named the ITA South Region Assistant Coach of the Year, and was given the prestigious honor of being named the ITA National Assistant Coach of the Year.
